Holding your Civil Ceremony/Partnership at The Borough Arms Hotel We are fully licensed to hold civil ceremonies, with the Registrar and Superintendent Registrar of Newcastle under Lyme performing your marriage ceremony at the hotel. A Civil Ceremony/Partnership is both convenient and offers the chance to add personal touches to your wedding. Perhaps a favourite poem or song, a harpist or pianist playing as you walk down the aisle... Plus decorations that you choose for the ceremonial room - you may choose a floral arch, rose petals scattered on the red carpeted aisle, topiary trees blooming with white lilies and cascading with ivy, balloon art or floral posies. The choice is endless - whatever your wishes, we'll try our best to bring them to life. Room Hire Charge for The Baker Room which will accommodate 35 guests theatre style is £95.00 The King Room which will accommodate 90 guests theatre style is £160.00. After your ceremony in the hotel, or when you arrive from your ceremony/partnership elsewhere, we pride ourselves on our ability to organize a reception that you will remember with pleasure for many years. Cars, Flowers and Photography With our extensive experience of wedding service providers in the area, we can help you make a wise choice of suppliers - so important on this important, unrepeatable day. Menus A wide range of suggested menus and wine list is available to suit all budgets, whether you wish to choose a formal wedding breakfast, or a buffet. vegetarian meals and special dietary requirements present no difficulty and you may choose to have the party served in one of our function rooms or in the elegant Ostler Restaurant. Bar Service Private bar facilities are available until 12.30 am, either as a cash bar or with drinks charged to the wedding account. A Bar charge of £75.00 is levied irrespective of the number of people attending. Decorations Whatever your ideas, we can help to achieve the theme and colour scheme you wild like. Table planning. We will work with you to arrange the room layout to suit you, providing menu cards and laying out your place cards, according to your wishes. The Cake A silver cake stand and knife are available and we can arrange to supply your cake, or if you prefer, you may arrange the cake yourself and have it delivered to the hotel ready for display. Entertainment We can provide a disco until 1 am at a charge of £195.00 Car Parking In addition to the hotel's 40 parking places, the neighbouring public car park offers a further 200 spaces. Children The Borough Arms Hotel is a "children-friendly" establishment, where junior guest from 4 to 11 years are charged just 50% of banqueting menu prices and under 4's eat free. Booking your Wedding Reception We strongly advise you to ring and make an appointment with our Wedding Co-Ordinator or the duty Manager to discuss any details, check availability and view our facilities. Provisional reservations are held for a period of 7 days, pending formal confirmation by means of a non-refundable deposit of £250.00. Final settlement of the account is due 14 days prior to your reception. Staying over at The Borough Arms Hotel Many of our wedding parties find they have relatives and friends travelling from all corners of the country who may require overnight accommodation. As part of your wedding package we offer reduced overnight accommodation rates for your guests. Single Room with en-suite facilities - £45.00 Double Room with en-suite facilities - £60.00 Family Room with en-suite facilities - prices on request All rates are inclusive of full English breakfast and VAT, per room per night. *Please note rates are subject to change without prior notice. We can also supply a letter for you to enclose with your wedding invitations enabling your guests to book their accommodation direct with the hotel, giving you one less task to worry about. If you are taking advantage of one of our Wedding Drinks Package’s, then accommodation on your wedding night as Bride and Groom is complimentary, as is full English breakfast the following morning (see Drinks Package for details).
